UV-Filtering Polyurethane Lacquer

Polyurethane lacquer finishing follows priming with the clear alcohol based primer. In development is our optional Pale Prep system that will fix lighter and greyish tones so they are consistent through the subsequent priming and lacquering. The polyurethane range includes the unique Quartier Zero lacquer, which incorporates UV-light filters. That finish has a near zero matt finish . Also listed are matt and silk-matt 1K or 2K PU lacquers. We consider the colour stability that comes with a UV-filter as essential given how a wood floor or furniture item can often be a key tone in an interior design scheme and deserves full and long-term protection. 

Polyurethane finishing has strong merits; it is quick to apply and cure, its light stable and the finish is immediately tough. Clients should be aware that any PU finish will only last so long if never recoated and if neglected the floor must be resanded.
