Step 1 Quartier Q-Plus lyes
Intended for hardwood and Douglas Fir finishing, Quartier lyes are a chemical base with pigmentations fully dissolved within their solvent. As they dry the wood colour is adapted and pigmentation comes through to give a uniformly coloured wood surface. The annual growth rings and mirrors in the wood become lighter instead of dark. It is this process that gives lye treated wood a subtleness of both light and shadow tones that results in a significantly greater quality appearance than any surface coated with a stain.
